As Vice President, Demetria leads the Higher Education Innovation Ecosystem Team at VentureWell, overseeing key organizational initiatives, including a $2.4 million faculty grant program and federal efforts such as I-Corps and IUCRC. Recognized as a national expert in inclusive innovation, Demetria specializes in engaging HBCUs, Tribal Colleges, and MSIs to enhance their tech transfer and commercialization efforts.

For over two decades, Demetria has demonstrated leadership across multiple sectors, including government, STEM, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Notably, she co-founded the business consulting firm, the Jamii Group, where she led cross-sector business development, data visualization, and social impact initiatives. Additionally, she served as a policy analyst and White House Political Appointee during the administration of former President Barack Obama, where she superheated national programs for minority-owned businesses with a revenue of at least $1 million and MSIs to become engaged in America’s top emerging industries.
