About Angel
Angel Gregorio is the founder and owner of The Spice Suite, a growing community-centric
spice boutique, located in the Washington, DC’s Langdon Park community. She created The
Spice Suite to offer patrons unique, interactive culinary experiences through fresh spice blends
and cooking oils from around the world, customized to disrupt the typical cooking experience.
Angel has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to improving the lives of the city’s most
at-risk and vulnerable youth and families. Prior to launching her entrepreneurial career, Angel
worked in educational leadership and youth advocacy roles as a teacher, counselor, and later
Vice Principal.
Since embarking on her self-proclaimed “food is fashion” journey, Angel and her business
have been featured on a variety of local and national media platforms, such as: The Drew
Barrymore Show, Essence Magazine, BET, Travel & Leisure, Sway In The Morning Show, CBS
News, NPR, The Washington Post, Bon Appetit and VICE News.
Now the owner of Black and Forth, a multi-use commercial development. She has renovated
an area to be The Spice Suite and used shipping containers so she also owns four salons that
are rented to Black women to help expand their businesses.
This newest venture is where Angel epitomizes the proverb “lift as you climb”.
