Dr. Yuqi Wang

Assistant Professor of Marketing | Johnson C. Smith University

Dr. Yuqi Wang is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Johnson C. Smith University. She received her Ph.D. in Marketing from New Mexico State University, a master’s from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and a BBA from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Wang’s research centers on big data analytics, strategy, and next-generation consumer decision-making. She explores the integration of emerging technologies such as virtual reality, machine learning, blockchain, and AI into marketing, retail, and information systems. Her methodological expertise spans structural equation modeling, field experiments, and econometric techniques.

A global scholar fluent in three languages, Dr. Wang previously held leadership roles at Abercrombie & Kent’s Asia headquarters. There, she maintained a million-dollar annual sales record and led market expansions into China, Singapore, Mexico, and Brazil. She also co-organized a business community in Hong Kong supporting over 2,000 professionals. At JCSU, she serves on the Faculty Hiring and Assessment Committees and supports Pitch Competitions, driving institutional excellence.
As an educator, Dr. Wang teaches courses in economics, marketing, and sales. Her pedagogy emphasizes digital transformation and real-world application. She notably incorporates AI tools and Industry 4.0 technologies into her curriculum to prepare students for the future of work. By maintaining close ties with industry professionals, she ensures her teaching remains experiential and impactful. Dr. Wang remains dedicated to bridging the gap between academic theory and business practice, equipping students to navigate and lead in the evolving worlds of business and science.
