Terrence J.L. Reeves is a partner at GwC, a boutique law firm singularly focused on emerging technologies and venture capital. His practice includes representing startups and growth-stage companies at all stages of development, and the investors that fund them.
Before launching GwC, Terrence held senior positions at top law firms in the U.S., reaching the level of partner and venture capital practice chair. Additionally, he previously served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Michigan, where he led the district’s Financial Crimes Task Force.
Terrence is an angel investor and member of Gaingels, a leading angel group that invests in venture-backed startups alongside the top investors in the world, such as a16z, Lightspeed, Bessemer, Sequoia, and Sam Altman.
Once a high school dropout, Terrence received his B.S. from Eastern Michigan University and J.D. from Wayne State University Law School, where he focused his studies on corporate law. He also earned an M.B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business and studied venture capital at Wharton.
