“Sylvia K. Alston is a nationally recognized insurance executive, entrepreneur, and thought leader with more than 25 years of experience shaping the future of risk management. She began her career with Zurich Insurance Company in Baltimore before returning to New Jersey, where she held leadership roles at leading national brokerage firms including HUB International, Willis, Integro Insurance Brokerage, and Risk Strategies. She ultimately served as Vice President, Division Manager, and Private Client Practice Leader at Integro (Ventura), an entertainment-focused specialty firm, before co-founding Momentum Risk Management in 2019.

A tactician in personal risk management and wealth preservation, Sylvia advises high-net-worth families, C-suite executives, athletes, entertainers, and multigenerational legacy households. Her ability to navigate complex risk profiles with discretion and precision has positioned her as a trusted strategist for clients requiring both protection and agility. Through her consulting firm, The Watchridge Group, she also provides fractional risk management solutions to small and mid-sized organizations across sectors, helping them address emerging threats and build resilience.

Sylvia is a lifetime member alumna of Morgan State University. She is also a graduate of the Bank of America Women’s Entrepreneurship Program at Cornell University and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program.

A proven builder, she has scaled Momentum Risk Management into a national practice with offices in New York City and New Jersey. Sylvia is a sought-after speaker and has presented at institutions including Temple University, Howard University, Morgan State University, and national industry organizations. She serves on the Executive Leadership Team of The BOW Collective and is a Trustee of the Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District.
