Dr. Christopher Chauncey Watson

Dr. Christopher Chauncey Watson, PhD, MHS, is an internationally recognized public health
strategist, researcher and equity architect with expertise in bridging systemic gaps in clinical
research and inclusive research design. He serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for
Urban Equity at Morgan State University, where his work advances structural approaches to
health equity for populations that exist at the margins of life. Dr. Watson’s global portfolio
includes strategic and marketing initiatives designed to expand access to care, increase minorities
in clinical trials, and improve health outcomes for underserviced communities. His research
explores the nexus of HIV prevention, transformative adaptive leadership, and the design of
culturally responsive models of care. Drawing on human-centered design, Dr. Watson drives
interdisciplinary systems transformation across multiple industries. He is also the founder and
principal of The Amiya Group, a global consulting firm advancing justice-informed solutions in
healthcare.
